Buying Books

Elise and I went to Half Price Books this afternoon. I was set on finding Pregnancy For Dummies. It wasn’t there. Elise had a few other books in mind.

Elise found a few books that we need to read. We bought:

What To Eat When You’re Expecting
The Girlfriends’ Guide to Pregnancy
The Expectant Father

I found and purchased this instructional novel:

Mötley Crüe’s The Dirt.

One Response to “Buying Books”

  1. Dan Ridley says:

The Girlfriends’ Guide to Pregnancy was a fun read — light, quick, but good for covering the basics before you wade into some of the heftier tomes like What to Expect When You’re Expecting or any of the Sears & Sears stuff.

I’d also highly recommend Anne Lamott’s Operating Instructions, the best nonfiction account of parenting ever (“I thought it would be more like getting a cat”).
