We were told (on accident) what our first born was...we didn't really want to know, but it was exciting when the nurse said, "Well, it looks like she's doing well". We were shocked...the nurse noticed we were shocked....then she said (while grasping her mouth), "OH that's right, you didn't want to know"

LOL, she then tried to cover her tracks. We didn't care though...it was exciting. You can imagine our surprise when we had a boy! We love our son, don't get me wrong, but in the back of our minds it was a mild disappointment. Heh, as disappointing as digging for diamonds and "only" getting gold!

Our second born was the real magic. We didn't know the sex, and after the long labor when Dr. Leindecker pronounced, "It's a GIRL"...that's EXACTLY what I wanted. If the Dr. had announced it was a boy, that would have been EXACTLY what I wanted. That moment is arguably the most magical moment of our lives...the announcement of our son's/daughter's arrival. WAIT UNTIL THE MOMENT...I tear up as I'm reminded how magical that day was. (lol, you should have seen the tears that day) :-D

Hi Josh,
If there's one thing I've learned, it's that guessing is fun! Elise may have or develop an intuition about the sex of the baby.

If you're interested in knowing what the ancient Chinese would have guessed, check out the Chinese conception chart. According to legend (and some of my work buddies), this is almost foolproof. It predicts your baby's sex based on how old the mother is and what month it was when she conceived. You can try it here if you're interested: http://www.chinagold.com/verify.htm

It turned out to be accurate in our case! All best, Kerry
